The Ten Commandments
As we have come into our second year of doctrinal focus in the teaching ministry at Christ Covenant, we have before us at least a solid year of spiritual feasting on the beloved ordinances of God's Holy Law. Who can come before God and claim that they have fulfilled the holy requirements of His righteous demands, except our Lord Jesus Christ, who only - faithfully obeyed the Law that He might die for all of those who cannot. In this understanding, we draw near to the wisdom of God to be challenged by His Law so that we may truly see how far and wide we stray! And then being instructed by the Law we may know our complete and utter need for the Christ who died for us.

This undertaking of preaching through the whole shorter catechism has consumed several years to this point in the series. I will not say that I will not be back to finish through the questions on the Lord's Prayer, but immediat plans must focus on our Psalter section or in the Christmas Series "Thy Kingdom Come".
After the first of the year, we will see where the Spirit allows us to continue.
It will be some months before either WSC #58 and #61 will be available!
In the providence of God's time and with the encouragement of our Church Session, I have been allowed to focus my heart on the essential doctrines of the faith in this second part of the series on our beloved Westminster Shorter Catechism with which generations of our children have been imbued in the fundamentals of the Reformation.
